BREAK ROOM is setting the summer ablaze with the arrival of Silcrow, a rising Los Angeles-based producer making his explosive debut via his genre-pushing single “future·sight.” Out June 13, the track marks a seismic entry for Silcrow, delivering a bold, high-voltage take on trap that fuses futuristic tension with razor-sharp sound design.
Originally conceived two years ago, “future·sight” has evolved into a relentless, peak-time weapon. With ballistic synth stabs slicing through a bedrock of rumbling low-end, intricate percussion, and warped vocal textures, the track charges forward like a sonic juggernaut. It’s a daring blend of chaos and precision—engineered for late-night warehouse sets and festival mainstages alike.
“‘future·sight’ is an intensely rhythmic, hypnotic bass track that revolves around its contrast of rumbling distortion against punchy, syncopated synths,” says Silcrow. “It has a familiar structure but uses unconventional patterns and sounds. The syncopation gives it an almost galloping push, keeping the energy elevated start to finish.”
After turning heads with his 2023 breakout collab “Carry The Flame” with DNMO on Pilot/UKF, which surpassed 500,000 streams, Silcrow followed up with “TAKE ME DOWN,” earning high-profile support from NGHTMRE, Excision, Big Gigantic, Levity, and Nitepunk, as well as BBC Radio 1 play via Shadient and Ookay.
Onstage, Silcrow continues to carve out a name as one of bass music’s freshest faces. He made his live debut at Brooklyn’s sold-out ISOKNOCK 4EVR event in May 2024, rocked the BREAK ROOM art car at EDC Las Vegas, and recently shared the stage with Nitepunk in Atlanta—each set further proof of his magnetic energy and forward-leaning sound.
As his first release on the risk-taking label BREAK ROOM, “future·sight” signals a new chapter for both the artist and the genre at large. It’s a glimpse into what’s next for trap, bass, and the wider electronic music spectrum.
