Shambhala Music Festival is thrilled to present the 2019 Grove Stage Lineup. The Grove Stage invites each one of you to experience the perfect blend of music and environment at the 22nd annual Shambhala Music Festival. Entering their 6th installment – the Grove has put together another stacked line up containing shades of everything from dubs to hip hop to house. The Grove Stage has a huge roster, including Bonobo (DJ Set), multi-instrumentalist FKJ, hip hop duo EarthGang, Ivy Lab, Deep Medi’s Mala and label mates Kromestar and Commodo, soulful tastemaker Catching Flies, (((O))), Hannah Faith, Stray, Andre Power, as well as a Cosmic Bridge Label Showcase featuring DJ Madd, OM Unit, Danny Scrilla, Moresounds, and so much more. I’ve never had the opportunity to see Bonobo, and they’ve been on my list for a looooooong time, so you’ll find me at their set! And if the stars align and I’m feeling a chill mood, I’d love to see Tor again.
Deep in the Shambhala forest lies a special place that has quietly evolved over the years. A welcoming dance floor surrounded by towering cedar trees, lush pathways, creative installations and cool forest lounge areas. The Grove is an invitation to immerse yourself in a fully interactive environment that celebrates music and dance amongst BC’s natural setting. After sunset, The Grove transforms with full spectrum Funktion-one sound and state of the art lighting designed to enliven and free the senses. Alongside the dance floors – festival goers will undoubtedly be drawn to the Grove Art Gallery, Tea Hive and Cedar Lounge. After celebrating their 21st-anniversary last year, Shambhala Music Festival is thrilled to return to the pristine Salmo River Ranch in British Columbia, Canada on August 9-12, 2019 for the 22nd annual edition. Taking place on a breathtaking family-run farm, festival-goers will have the chance to experience the best of what nature has to offer throughout four blissful days, while witnessing hundreds of world-class artists across six unique stages, each curated and run by their own stage directors.
Shambhala began in 1998 as a grassroots gathering of 500 people on founder Jimmy Bundschuh’s family farm in an evergreen forest beneath breathtaking mountains and has since grown over time primarily by word-of-mouth thanks to past guests and artists. Shambhala’s home has continued to evolve over the past two decades with a focus on infrastructure that ensures a healthy and sustainable environment.
