Dirtybird celebrates two decades of dancefloor mischief with a brand-new release that perfectly embodies the spirit of the label. Out now, “I Don’t Want A Lot” brings together longtime Dirtybird favorites Sage Armstrong and Gene Farris with rising Chicago-based producer Basura Boyz, marking a standout moment in the label’s 20th anniversary series.

Cheeky, bold, and built for the club, “I Don’t Want A Lot” captures the essence of Dirtybird’s community-driven ethos. With Gene Farris’s magnetic vocals, Sage Armstrong’s fearless production instincts, and Basura Boyz’s fresh take on tech-house, the track delivers a swagger-filled dancefloor heater packed with chopped melodies and infectious rhythms. It’s a triple-threat collaboration made with Dirtybird’s signature flavor: quirky, raw, and ready to move bodies.

“So happy to be back with my Dirtybird family, it’s been too long,” shares Gene Farris. “When we finished this release, the first thing I said was ‘Dirtybird’ because it’s a perfect release for the label.”

Basura Boyz adds, “This track came together so naturally. As soon as we sorted the vocal, we knew this would be a fun one and a staple in the club.”

No stranger to Dirtybird, Sage Armstrong made his debut on the label in 2015 and has since contributed to compilations like Dirtybird BBQ: Grill$on’s Revenge, Dirtybird Campout 2016, and The New Years Special. With collaborations alongside Matroda, CID, Bruno Furlan, and Will Clarke, and a flourishing imprint of his own, Dumb Fat Records, Sage continues to push boundaries with each release.

Basura Boyz, repping Chicago’s house heritage with a modern edge, has quickly made waves with releases on Toolroom, Experts Only, Rules Don’t Apply, and more. “I Don’t Want A Lot” marks his official Dirtybird debut—and his first joint release with both Sage Armstrong and Gene Farris as a trio.

With a 30-year legacy as a global house music ambassador, Gene Farris brings undeniable experience and groove to the table. From his debut on Dirtybird’s 2019 Miami Compilation to his standout single Space Girl, and his upcoming appearance at Dirtybird Campout x Northern Nights Music Festival, Gene remains a key player in the label’s vibrant family.

Expect to hear “I Don’t Want A Lot” lighting up sets all summer long, from Dirtybird’s 20th Anniversary Tour stops to the wild stages of Dirtybird Campout x Northern Nights.
