Fresh off earning two 2026 JUNO Award nominations, Toronto’s “rising star” (Pitchfork) SadBoi returns with her unapologetic new single “Pop Shit,” out now via LVRN Records.

Co-produced by GRAMMY Award winner David “Dos Dias” Bishop — known for his work with Usher, The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, and Summer Walker — alongside KTOE (who has worked with Megan Thee Stallion and YoungBoy Never Broke Again) and John Fellner, “Pop Shit” follows the release of “Twisted” and serves as the latest preview of SadBoi’s upcoming project, GYAL 6, due later this year.

The new music continues to channel energy for girls who are a little messy, rebellious, and risky — even if only in their imagination. It’s a soundtrack for lover girls who may not always get love right but know how to make every night feel like it could fix everything, even if just for a moment. Sonically, GYAL 6 blurs genres with ease, shifting from confident rap to high-energy anthems while centering the intersection of music, culture, and community — a space designed to feel seen, inspired, and connected.

Fresh off supporting Rico Nasty on the LETHAL North American Tour, SadBoi has cemented her signature genre-fluid style, weaving together garage, house, and Caribbean influences like dancehall and reggaeton. Through collaborations with artists including Smiley, Cash Cobain, Blanco, Cleotrapa, and Duquesa, she continues to position herself at the crossroads of hip-hop, global pop, electronic, and UK rap.

Her JUNO Award-nominated project DRY CRY earned widespread critical acclaim, with Pitchfork noting, “The album feels like a declaration of incoming supremacy from SadBoi — not quite a coming-out, but a confirmation of her rising star.” With “Pop Shit,” that rise feels louder, sharper, and more undeniable than ever.
