Sacha Robotti continues unfolding the story of his forthcoming debut album I, Robotti with the release of “Whistle Man,” a high-impact collaboration alongside dance music icons Felix and Eric D. Clark, out now via Dirtybird. The single marks another defining chapter in the album’s arc—one rooted in history, movement, and the connective power of the dancefloor.
Born from a shared transatlantic lineage, “Whistle Man” brings together three distinct generations of club culture into a single, unruly groove. The track threads old-school spirit through modern club architecture, balancing raw energy with reflective depth. Whistled motifs sit at the heart of the arrangement, creating tension between punchy builds, euphoric releases, and Eric D. Clark’s unmistakably soulful vocal presence. The result is bold, playful, and intentionally disruptive—a record that nods to the 1990s while refusing to live in the past.
As part of I, Robotti, the single deepens Sacha Robotti’s exploration of dancefloor escapism and the human connections that surface when styles, tempos, and eras collide. Drawing inspiration from his teenage years and early immersion in electronic music, “Whistle Man” stands as a personal milestone within the album’s two-decade narrative. It joins previously released cuts including “Manifest” with SYREETA, “All Night” with Sian and JOPLYN, “The Flood” with Blakkat, and “Say It” with Victoria Rawlins, each contributing a unique thread to the larger story.
From Berlin to San Francisco, Sacha Robotti has spent years shaping the contours of underground dance music. His creative reach extends across his solo work, the Slothacid imprint, and his role as one half of Third Culture. I, Robotti represents the culmination of his long-standing relationship with Dirtybird, following earlier releases such as Loca Lola (2014), Melato Nina (2017), “Roll With Me” (2024), and collaborations with Kevin Knapp and Kill Frenzy. In 2024, he returned to the label to headline the inaugural Back To Baysics event at Embarcadero Plaza in San Francisco, reaffirming his place at the core of the Dirtybird ecosystem.
With a career spanning more than three decades, Felix remains a foundational figure in dance music history. Best known for platinum-selling 1990s anthems “Don’t You Want Me” and “It Will Make Me Crazy,” he has continued to evolve through underground projects like The Partycrashers, alongside releases on Armada Music and his own DANCE FX label.
Equally influential, Eric D. Clark is a pillar of international club culture, recognized for his work with Whirlpool Productions on era-defining tracks such as “From Disco to Disco” and “The Cold Song.” A DJ, producer, and vocalist with deep roots in house and disco, his career spans solo output and wide-ranging collaborations across music, art, and fashion. Now based in Berlin, Clark remains a singular voice, celebrated for his longevity, adaptability, and genre-defying vision.
With “Whistle Man,” Sacha Robotti, Felix, and Eric D. Clark deliver a record that feels both timeless and immediate—a meeting point where legacy, experimentation, and club energy converge.
“Whistle Man” is available now on all platforms via Dirtybird.
