Longtime Dirtybird mainstay Sacha Robotti has officially announced his debut album, I, Robotti, set for release in 2026. Leading the charge is the project’s first single “Say It” featuring Victoria Rawlins, out now as part of Dirtybird’s ongoing 20th anniversary celebration.
A defining moment in Sacha’s two-decade journey through electronic music, I, Robotti reflects the arc of a career shaped by international dancefloors—from gritty Berlin basements to sun-soaked California Campouts. The album promises a kaleidoscopic ride across genres, seamlessly weaving Tech House, Breakbeat, Indie Dance, Peak Time Techno, and Jackin House into a cohesive, genre-fluid body of work.
“Say It” sets the tone with a moody and magnetic energy. Anchored by Victoria Rawlins’ raspy spoken word mantra — “I’m gonna say it with my body” — the track pulses with dissonant synths, stuttering percussion, and a slow-burning tension. It’s a sonic seduction: part dancefloor hypnotic, part underground confession.
Known for his ever-evolving sound and boundary-pushing sets, Sacha Robotti has remained a trusted fixture on Dirtybird’s roster with celebrated releases like the Loca Lola EP (2014), Melato Nina EP (2017), and collaborations with Kevin Knapp, Kill Frenzy, and Pershard Owens. Last year, he headlined the first-ever Back To Baysics party in San Francisco and dropped the label heater “Roll With Me.” With I, Robotti, he enters a new era of creative exploration and collaborative experimentation.
Joining him on “Say It” is Victoria Rawlins, a rising Los Angeles force in the underground. As the host of Dirtybird Radio, Rawlins brings a sound rooted in post-punk attitude and psychedelic textures, with past collaborations alongside Sian, WRDO, and Joanna Magik. Her releases on labels like Farris Wheel and Octopus Recordings have earned support from tastemakers including Claptone and VNSSA.
