The independent, non-profit Roskilde Festival, rewriting the rules of what a music festival can be since 1971, has revealed its 2026 lineup. This summer, 130,000 attendees will descend on the small town of Roskilde, just 30 minutes from Copenhagen, for eight days of music, art, and community. Powered by 27,000 volunteers, all festival profits are donated to charity, creating an event that is as socially engaged as it is musically ambitious.

In 2026, over 180 artists will perform across eight days, including Clipse, Ethel Cain, David Byrne, Gorillaz, The Cure, Young Miko, Addison Rae, Sierra Ferrell, Kneecap, Zara Larsson, Lily Allen, Liniker, Bad Gyal, Little Simz, Audrey Nuna, BN Gogo, and more.

“As an independent, non-profit festival, supporting and celebrating diversity is at the heart of what we do at Roskilde Festival. Our programming reflects this mission, presenting our participants with some of the most innovative and influential trends from music scenes across the globe, alongside artists who have become true icons over the years,” said Thomas Sønderby Jepsen, Head of Music.

Icons, Innovators, and Returning Favorites
The Cure will headline Wednesday, 1 July, performing on the newly expanded Orange Stage as they celebrate their 50th anniversary with a special Roskilde set. That day also features Annie and the Caldwells, Dying Wish, EsDeeKid, JADE, The Sophs, and Wolf Alice.

Gorillaz, the genre-defying project of Damon Albarn, will perform on Thursday, 2 July, joined by Ethel Cain, Irish rap trio Kneecap, Swedish pop icon Lykke Li, Mercury Prize and Brit Award-winning rapper Little Simz, grindcore pioneers Napalm Death, Cortisa Star, Dean Johnson, Nick León, and more.

David Byrne headlines Friday, 3 July, alongside Grammy-nominated breakout artist Addison Rae and a rare double concert from Scandinavian underground rap icons Yung Lean & Bladee. Highlights also include DBN Gogo, country singer Sierra Ferrell, and Puerto Rican star Young Miko.

Zara Larsson closes out Saturday, 4 July, delivering a set from her latest album Midnight Sun, joined by Clipse performing their Grammy-nominated comeback Let God Sort Em Out, Lily Allen with her 2025 release West End Girl, Audrey Nuna, Catalan reggaeton star Bad Gyal, and Brazilian singer Liniker.

A Global, Multi-Genre Programme
Roskilde Festival remains committed to musical diversity, spanning rock, pop, hip-hop, country, electronic, Afrobeats, metal, and more across seven stages. Spanish and Latin American representation is strong, with artists including Young Miko, Los Mirlos, Bruno Berle, Los Thuthanaka, Indus, BB Trickz, and 1111.

Art and Activism at the Core
Roskilde’s art programme continues to push boundaries, with the first 14 names announced for 2026. Danish-Turkish Noah Umur Kanber presents I Feel Like a Piece of Paper, exploring personal encounters with public systems, while Swedish Andreas Haglund’s Feral Fantasies examines power and desire through intense dance. Danish-Azerbaijani Sahar Jamili collaborates with local youth on community-driven art, and Danish artist Esben Holk’s AI-generated installation Slop Plot invites participants to co-create a shared digital memory archive. Other highlights include the sci-fi performance Enter the Flesh by Dorotea Saykaly and Emil Dam Seidel, and the large-scale installation The Long Way Around by British artist Jesse Darling.
