We at Fresh Music Freaks have a motto. All music, NO FILTER. We are very sad to hear the news about Tim Bergling, best known as Avicii.
I am so sad to see the loss of a great talent at such a young age. I swung through his last public performance in 2016 at Ultra just to give props to what he has done for dance music… mainstream or not, Seek Bromance and Levels were stellar and ahead of their time.
I was proud of him listening to his body and NOT his handlers to take a break/stop touring/ retire.
THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE INDUSTRY GETS AHOLD OF A YOUNG PRODIGY AND OVER WORKS THEM. This is what happens when record sales, touring, partying and money ALL become more important to those around you than THE ARTISTS own personal well being. If you are one of those who saw his movie, it is horrifying to witness the schedule he was able to maintain…barely hanging on.
Numerous industry members, producers, and DJ’s have sent their condolences to his family and friends.
I can’t lie, this Billboard article made me tear up a little. Even Joel had positive words to say about the young producer.
28 is too young. We can all agree. Hug your loved ones closely. You never know when it will be your last chance to reach out and help them with your love.
