Canadian producer and DJ Rezz has released her highly anticipated fifth studio album, As The Pendulum Swings, out now via HypnoVizion.
The 13-track project is a bold convergence of Rezz’s hypnotic signature and experimental instincts, balancing nostalgia and innovation. Drawing from her early midtempo rhythms and slow techno drive while incorporating edgy electro and industrial elements, the album references her beginnings while pushing into uncharted territory. Tracks like “Contorted” and “Telepathy”—revamped from early demos—sit alongside cinematic new works such as “Running From Reality” and “Delirium,” showcasing an off-kilter aesthetic built on textured layers, unpredictable structures, and refined sound design.
The record features global collaborators including Dillon Francis and BRVMES (“HOW I DO IT”), Canadian duo Chuurch (“Telepathy”), Swedish musician Owl Vision (“Downward”), New Orleans producer CABLE (“Glass Veins”), and returning partners k?d, EDDIE, fknsyd, and isqa.
“As The Pendulum Swings is a more mature version of my project. It reflects where I am in life as a 30 year old. I feel I have the clearest vision and desires, and musically this album plays a major role in that. It feels nostalgic but also new, and it really showcases the type of music I’m currently influenced by. I feel like I’ve evolved in the quality of the songs, and the direction is very specific. It capitalizes on industrial and slow techno elements,” shares Rezz.
The album also extends into a visual realm, inspired by her groundbreaking PORTAL show. Its imagery, aesthetic, and stage design are woven into the fabric of the project, embodying the same hypnotic intensity whether through headphones or live performance.
Alongside the release, Rezz has announced a limited-run headline tour for early 2026, hitting Brooklyn, Boston, Detroit, Houston, and St. Louis. Ahead of the tour, she will bring her PORTAL show to Washington’s Tacoma Dome, where she’ll make history as the venue’s first female electronic headliner, followed by her seventh annual REZZ ROCKS at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Artist pre-sale begins Wednesday, September 17 at 10 AM local time, with general on-sale Thursday, September 18 at 10 AM local time via Laylo.
