Following the release of the acclaimed concept album TRAИƧA, the storied activist and music production nonprofit Red Hot has announced a landmark live event, TRAИƧA: A Celebration, taking place December 6 as part of Powerhouse: International Arts Festival at Powerhouse Arts in Brooklyn. The one-of-a-kind gathering will bring together musicians from the project and beyond for the first time, performing selections from TRAИƧA and more.
The lineup features an extraordinary roster including Ahya Simone, Allison Russell, Anajah, Asher White, Benėt, Bloomsday, Cassandra Jenkins, Cole Pulice, David Longstreth (Dirty Projectors), Eli Winter, Kara Jackson, Kathi Wilcox (Bikini Kill), Keenyn Omari, Kei Austin, L’Rain, Lynn Avery, MIZU, More Eaze, Nsámbu Za Suékama, Time Wharp, and additional special guests. David Longstreth will serve as the evening’s music director after leading a TRAИƧA performance at the Getty Center in September.
“The Red Hot team has created the year’s most remarkable and beautiful album, full of the warmth and humanity this world needs more of,” said Adam Shore of Powerhouse: International, the festival’s founding organization. “Watching them bring it to the stage has been a masterclass in collaboration and community building — the very values that Powerhouse: International was built upon.”
In a rare live assembly of the TRAИƧA community, the event will unfold through transformative performances that channel queer joy, radical imagination, and spiritual urgency. The inaugural Powerhouse: International Arts Festival celebrates artists who transcend genre and redefine creative boundaries — a fitting home for TRAИƧA’s boundary-pushing vision.

Coinciding with the event announcement, Red Hot has released the limited edition 6LP TRAИƧA box set, now available in select stores. A newly launched TRAИƧA website introduces each chapter of the album’s narrative through poetry by Massima Bell, expanding the project’s immersive storytelling.
Produced by Dust Reid and Massima Bell, TRAИƧA began in 2021 as one of Red Hot’s most ambitious undertakings to date. The album features contributions from over 100 artists across eight chapters and 46 songs, including appearances by Sade, André 3000, ANOHNI, Sam Smith, Laura Jane Grace, Hunter Schafer, Teddy Geiger, Beverly Glenn-Copeland, Yaeji, Julien Baker, and Clairo.
Celebrated by outlets such as The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Vogue, Pitchfork, The Guardian, and NPR, TRAИƧA has been hailed as a powerful testament to trans and non-binary artistry, compassion, and resilience. At a time when anti-trans rhetoric and legislation are on the rise, TRAИƧA: A Celebration stands as both a sanctuary and a statement — a live embodiment of the album’s message of connection, resistance, and transcendence.
