Internationally acclaimed electronic music producer Rebūke returns with “Teardrops”, an emotionally charged single featuring the haunting vocals of Karin Park, out today, March 28 via ERA. The track sees Rebūke leaning into themes of sadness and introspection, blending futuristic electronic production with a deeply heartfelt narrative. Accompanying the release is the instrumental “Aingeal”, offering a complementary sonic experience.

“Teardrops” marks another collaboration between Rebūke and songwriter Melissa De Kleine, known for her work on “Endless” with deadmau5 featuring Ed Graves. The track’s powerful synths and cinematic soundscape provide the perfect backdrop for Karin Park’s evocative vocal delivery, creating a piece that resonates with raw emotion.
Rebūke shares:
“Teardrops” is one of my favorite new tracks. The powerful synths combined with the raw emotion in Karin’s vocals is incredible. The visual focuses on a woman captured in the center frame as she expresses a range of emotions, eventually shedding neon tears of sadness.”
Karin Park adds:
“I love when sadness can turn into something beautiful and be shown to the world like a flower instead of bitterness. I put all my heart and soul into this, and working with someone as dedicated as Rebūke makes it even better.”
Co-writer Melissa De Kleine reveals that “Teardrops” took on a deeply personal meaning for her:
“While writing the lyrics, Karin & I spoke about how the song doesn’t have to refer to romantic love—it can also be about losing someone who has passed away. The day after we wrote the song, I realized it was the birthday of a friend of mine who sadly passed from leukemia in 2015. It was such an emotional and traumatic experience that I never really open up about, so this song became my outlet.”
