Written in collaboration with Dutch songwriter Melissa De Kleine, known for her work with John Summit, Nicky Romero, and Sander van Doorn, the track pairs Rebūke’s cinematic techno with deadmau5’s signature melodic sound. Ed Graves, a Billboard-charting producer, songwriter, and artist, delivers a haunting vocal performance that lingers long after the track fades.
“These endless nights / The distant lights / A silent sign / Are we lost in the endless?” sings Graves, weaving a dreamlike narrative over soaring synths and pulsating basslines that blend both Rebūke and deadmau5’s distinctive styles.
“‘Endless’ felt like the perfect track to launch the album—a full-circle moment and a collaboration with deadmau5, who has been a constant source of inspiration throughout my musical journey,” shares Rebūke.
“The track originally started as an instrumental, but after a last-minute conversation with Melissa De Kleine and Ed Graves, they rushed to the studio with less than 12 hours’ notice and delivered an incredible vocal that truly brought the song to life.”
Beyond the music, ‘The World of Era’ represents an immersive experience where sound and visuals intertwine. The official visualizer for “Endless” follows a young woman navigating the futuristic landscape of Era, culminating in a transformative moment inside a nightclub where music and reality blend seamlessly. The video unfolds across four key settings, beginning in a mysterious alleyway, moving to the entrance of a neon-lit club, ascending a stairway filled with anticipation, and finally entering the club, where she becomes fully immersed in the music.
Rebūke, whose real name is Reuben Keeney, has been a rising force in electronic music, and 2024 only reinforced his place among the genre’s leading innovators. He made his debut at Coachella, performed a back-to-back set with Chris Avantgarde at Anyma’s ‘The End of Genesys’ Sphere residency in Las Vegas, and completed a national tour across some of North America’s top dance music venues. His recent releases include “JUNO”, which will appear on ‘The World of Era’, as well as a remix of deadmau5’s classic “Not Exactly”. Additionally, his breakout 2018 track “Along Came Polly” resurfaced with a new remix by Konstantin Sibold, ZAC, and CARMEE.
With ‘The World of Era’ on the horizon, “Endless” provides the first glimpse into the cinematic and futuristic vision that Rebūke is crafting. This release marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, promising a deep, immersive journey into his evolving sound.
