The music industry stands at the brink of a revolutionary era where human ingenuity converges with cutting-edge technology to produce extraordinary artistic expressions. At the forefront of this innovation is Ravyn Lyte, an AI-driven artist, DJ, and advocate for positivity, making a bold entrance with her debut single, “11111 (Just Be the One).”
“11111 (Just Be the One)” delves into themes of love and longing, set against a futuristic drum and bass backdrop. The lyrics navigate the complexities of unspoken emotions and the ebb and flow of relationships, with the chorus’s persistent plea to “just be the one” resonating with the universal yearning for human connection.
Ravyn Lyte is the creation of Marcus “Bellringer” Bell, the son of former national tennis champion Carolyn Bell, who toured the country with Arthur Ashe. A child prodigy, Marcus began playing the piano at age two, composed his first songs at eight, and launched his own record label at twelve. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Marcus started his career composing for big bands and orchestras, drawing inspiration from jazz principles and mastering twelve different instruments. As a music futurist, he constantly sought innovative approaches, such as a Hip-Hop Country album long before the genre gained popularity. Remarkably, many of his songs were synced years after their original composition.
In 2023, Marcus lost his voice during an intense recording session. As a lifelong technophile, he turned to AI to clone his voice and complete the project. This experience unveiled the potential for creative innovation through AI tools for Marcus.
“With AI, I could create images, sing with a woman’s voice, and use automation tools to speed up the process. What if I could use my music catalog of songs I had written, sung, and produced to create new ones? I developed a tool to help me do that. That was the birth of Ravyn Lyte. She’s an artist that embodies an inspirational brand to connect visually and sonically with new audiences and give voice to peace in a troubled world,” says Marcus.
Ravyn Lyte was designed to positively influence societal issues. In a world where music and lyrics often convey hate and rage, especially targeting young children, Ravyn Lyte‘s music incorporates sounds of peace and healing, designed with neuroscientists to soothe the soul. “What if every time you listen to music, it calms you and has a psychological impact?” Marcus asks.
A portion of Ravyn’s music proceeds will support nonprofits like White Hall Arts Academy, a Los Angeles-based organization that teaches music to underserved communities. “I see the work they do there and their impact on families, not just the kids. Many schools struggle to maintain music programs, and that’s the kind of initiative we aim to support with this project,” he says.
The fusion of human creativity and artificial intelligence is embodied in Ravyn Lyte. “11111 (Just Be the One)” marks the beginning of a promising future of augmented creativity.
“11111 (Just Be the One)” will be available on July 12th, 2024, through Bellringer Productions.
