Atlanta-born, San Francisco-based producer Ravenscoon joins forces with Indianapolis native Wiley on their hard-hitting new single “STOMP OUT,” arriving October 17 via Bassrush Records. Both artists have made names for themselves in the experimental bass and dubstep underground, and this collaboration sees them colliding with full force.
“STOMP OUT” delivers a hulking wall of low-end energy, with modulating leads and laser-etched sound design locked in a call-and-response frenzy. The track barrels forward with exaggerated wubby scales and chaotic rhythmic bursts, reveling in unruly excess while maintaining razor-sharp production detail. True to its name, the single flexes unapologetic intensity, blurring lines between experimental dubstep, trap, and halftime.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Wiley shared, “Paul (Ravenscoon) was one of the first artists I connected with early on, and he’s been a great peer to have in my corner since the beginning. We’ve been talking about working together for a while, so I’m really excited we were able to make it happen.”
For Ravenscoon, the release follows a banner year including a 25-date headline tour and festival appearances at Beyond Wonderland Chicago, Deadbeats Jamboree, Lost Lands, WAKAAN Festival, Metamorphosis, Symmetry, and Seven Stars. He also curates his own Hometown Throwdown event series at The Eastern in Atlanta, cementing his status as a leader in the next wave of bass music.
Wiley continues his ascent as a fearless innovator in experimental bass. From early roots in hip-hop beat-making to standout festival sets at Bass Canyon, Seven Stars, and Lost Lands, his sound is defined by abrasive textures and cavernous atmospheres. His recent Rug Burn EP received widespread acclaim, while collaborations with Wreckno, Brainrack, Gunpoint, and Jordnmoody have further solidified his reputation as a boundary-pushing artist. Support for the single has already come from heavyweights including Excision, Subtronics, Liquid Stranger, Mersiv, and Tape B. Wiley will also perform live alongside Lumasi and HEYZ at Denver’s Ogden Theatre, and open for Excision’s Armory event in Minneapolis.
On “STOMP OUT,” Ravenscoon and Wiley merge southern-rooted eclecticism with Midwest grit, creating a collision of styles that is both uncompromising and playful—a milestone collaboration redefining the contours of heavy bass.
“STOMP OUT” is available on all platforms via Bassrush Records.
