RaeCola Announce Double Trouble EP, Their Boldest Project Yet

From the underground of Los Angeles to festival stages worldwide, dance music’s twin duo RaeCola have built their reputation on never playing it safe. On September 12, 2025, the South Side Chicago natives return with their Double Trouble EP—a three-track project that captures their signature, genre-bending sound and uncompromising groove, marking their most daring release to date.

The title track, Double Trouble,” radiates the boss-level club energy that has defined their sets, while “No Time to Talk” delivers a floor-filling reminder that the dancefloor is about movement, not conversation. Closing track “Said I Don’t Need You But..” leans into RaeCola’s emotional side, pairing breakbeat-inspired, lo-fi percussion with layered female vocals for a track that’s equally fierce and vulnerable. “The shows we played this year have been straight out of our dreams,” the duo share. “Creating this EP while touring let us really capture the energy of these moments—from getting pumped up to the behind-the-scenes love on the road.”

Since debuting with “Double Dutch” on Justin Jay’s Fantastic Voyage in 2022, RaeCola have steadily carved their place as one of dance music’s most exciting rising acts. Their momentum has only grown with releases like “Match My Vibe” alongside Tom Budin, Oscar Jamo, and Kvision, and their collaborations at Aluna’s Noir Fever camp in 2024, where they created “Nite Cap” and “ACAPULCO!” with Farrah Fawx and Uniiqu3. Their productions fuse Chicago house, jackin’ house, and ghetto tech with modern, bass-heavy edge—drawing from pioneers like DJ Slugo and DJ Godfather, while reimagining the sound through their own bold lens.

On stage, RaeCola’s infectious energy has lit up Ultra Miami, Lollapalooza, Shambhala, Beyond Wonderland, Electric Forest, and Dirtybird Campout, as well as cultural landmarks like Rockefeller Center and Burberry’s Rodeo Drive Pop-Up. Their influence extends far beyond music: they’ve appeared in music videos for Anderson .Paak, GoldLink, Justin Timberlake, and Usher, while fronting campaigns for Smirnoff, Adidas, Nike, and Coca-Cola. Known for designing their own stage outfits, pushing for diversity through initiatives like LP Giobbi’s Femme House, and staying grounded in the underground communities that shaped them, RaeCola balance cultural relevance with authenticity.

With Double Trouble, RaeCola continue their ascent as trailblazers for the next generation of house music—pairing their twin synergy with an unshakable commitment to their roots.
