Austin-based Japanese producer and DJ Qrion, born Momiji Tsukada, has released her highly anticipated second album, “We Are Always Under The Same Sky,” now available via Anjunadeep.

The ten-track record features standout singles such as “Miyanosawa,” “Hush My Heart” featuring Josie Man, “Keep On Moving Up,” and “Lean Into Light” featuring pinkpirate. The focus track, “Wayside” with Josie Man, showcases a stirring, emotional house production complemented by the South East London artist’s gentle vocals.

Speaking about the album, Momiji shares, “This album is a deeply personal reflection of my journey through some of the most challenging times in my life, including loneliness, addiction, and the struggle to rebuild myself during the pandemic. It represents my emotional and mental transformation from hitting rock bottom to finding self-love and forgiveness. Every track and piece of artwork holds a personal story, and I hope these songs not only resonate with you but also offer a sense of connection.”

Following her critically acclaimed 2021 debut album, “I Hope It Lasts Forever”—praised by Forbes as “stunning” and “a masterful production”—Qrion continues to channel her personal experiences into her music. Her new album addresses themes of addiction, loss, and recovery, drawing on the rebirth she experienced after the passing of her father.

The release has already garnered significant support, with airplay on BBC Radio 1 and features in Clash, DJ Mag, Wonderland, Billboard Dance, and Mixmag. Fashion magazine House Of Solo recently spotlighted Qrion in an 8-page feature.

“We Are Always Under The Same Sky” also celebrates Southeast Asian talent, featuring collaborations with artists like Josie Man and DIDI HAN, as well as stunning visuals by American-Chinese animator Zee Yorke.

Growing up in snowy Sapporo, Qrion’s father, a jazz pianist, inspired her early love for music. Combining this influence with the high-energy EDM sounds of Skrillex, Knife Party, and Porter Robinson, she began crafting her own music at 16. Tragedy struck when her father passed away, but this pivotal moment encouraged her to pursue her passion fully, leading her to a new life in the U.S.

Now, Qrion focuses on moments of joy and vulnerability in her music, aiming to connect deeply with her audience. “It’s therapeutic for me, playing shows and being vulnerable with the audience,” she reflects. “I enjoy how we can connect through music.”

Stream “We Are Always Under The Same Sky” now on all platforms and experience the poignant evolution of Qrion’s artistry.
