Sharing the inspiration behind “Pain Away,” HOLLY explained: “A couple of months ago, I reconnected with my good friend Sebastian Reynoso, with whom I’ve collaborated over the years. I asked him to send me some acapellas, and one of them was the ‘Pain Away’ vocal. The moment I heard it, something clicked, and I knew I had to explore it further. I sampled a few parts of the vocal and built the entire beat and production around it. Sebastian wrote this song as a wish and a manifesto to ease the pain of people he sees suffering, and that message resonated deeply with me. I hope this track can bring happiness and light to the world, easing the pain of those who listen. LOVE.“
