Porter Robinson as Virtual Self has released additional Utopia Tour dates throughout the United States, and the Pacific North West has been blessed with stops in Seattle Washington at WAMU Theatre, and multiple venues in Vancouver, BC.
As a Seattle resident who hasn’t seen Porter Robinson since Paradiso 2017 (I wasn’t crying, you were crying), I couldn’t be more excited to experience him in a whole new way.
Virtual Self has also recently dropped the technic-Angel edit of “Ghost Voices” called “Angel Voices” (LISTEN HERE), and although it’s remixed with a brighter sound, “Angel Voices” still retains the hauntingly abrasive percussive sound we all know and love, ultimately adding a timeless and new appreciation for everything Virtual Self has put out thus far.
The Utopia Tour is expected to give us the best of both worlds, one set each from the two Virtual Self “producers”. The first will be a techno/trance segment from Robinson’s technic-Angel moniker, followed by a mix of gabber, jungle, and hardcore from Pathselector. How lucky are we to get double the epic-ness in just one event? This set will throw us into a mutated, 2001 era warehouse rave atmosphere to stun both new and existing fans. The hypnotic performance paired with a custom-built lighting and stage production that looks unlike anything else in electronic music will likely be the most unique show of 2018.
Do not miss your chance to witness an amazing event and grab your tickets now!
