Before she became known as Party Nails, Elana Carroll was a young, guitar-wielding artist playing open mics in her hometown of Chatham, New York. Her early experiments with GarageBand ignited a passion for music production, a foundation she’s built upon throughout her career. Since her debut on Neon Gold’s blog in 2015 with “Break,” Party Nails has captivated fans with her genre-defying style and dynamic live performances, drawing comparisons to Madonna, Hayley Williams, and Sheryl Crow.
A Career Built on Versatility and Collaboration
Party Nails’ career highlights include touring with PVRIS and Lights in 2017, writing the empowering “Rockin’ on the Rag” for Apple TV+’s Central Park, and co-writing and producing “Supernatural” for feminist rock duo Deap Vally. Her vocals have been featured by artists like LŪN, Urban Heat, Battle Tapes, MitiS, and Getter. Her work has graced popular movies and TV shows, including Glass, Girls, The L Word: Generation Q, Nancy Drew, and Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin. Publications such as Billboard, PAPER, and Noisey have sung her praises, and her music has landed on Spotify Editorial playlists like Fresh Finds Indie and Undercurrents.
When not crafting her own music, Carroll operates Top Coat, her Los Angeles recording studio, where she produces and mixes for other artists.

Her latest single, “Trigger Warning”, radiates with noir-electropop energy reminiscent of Kavinsky’s “Nightcall,” Chromatics, and The Weeknd. “Trigger Warning” is the first glimpse of Party Nails’ highly anticipated third album, Pillow Talk, set to release in January 2025. For this record, Carroll has partnered with Eye Knee Records, founded by musicians Holly Miranda and Amb. Parsley, alongside the guidance of label head Elissa Young.
