Ookay | Gives Us Official Video for “Better Off” Just in Time For Coachella!

An artist, producer, songwriter, instrumentalist and now director!

Is there anything Ookay can’t do? The versatile artist and producer has released the video for his brand new production, “Better Off”, ahead of highly anticipated festival performances at Weekend 1 and 2 of Coachella 2019. This overtly carefree song has “summer vibes” written all over it!

A self directed video featuring vocals written and performed by the man himself, “Better Off” shows Ookay in multiple scenes and settings all alone. His effortless style, smooth moves, and gritty vocals are so perfectly intertwined that he makes being alone look well, pretty ‘okay’.

Hailing from Southern California, Ookay is one of the quickest rising talents of the electronic dance music scene. Originally making a splash with his remixes and collaborations, he has worked with The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, Borgore, Galantis, Showtek, and more. His breakout single “Thief” has hit over 55 million Spotify streams and has solidified his place as one of today’s most in-demand producers and live acts.

Having previously released a full album, Wow! Cool Album! and EP, Nice! EP, Ookay is quickly moving past his contemporaries through his versatility and prolific output. In January 2019, Ookay’s collaboration with Marshmello, “Chasing Colors” featuring Noah Cyrus, was a highlight in Marshmello’s 2019 groundbreaking virtual concert within the video game Fortnite.

Ookay continues to push boundaries in his live performance by incorporating real instruments along with his stylistic DJing and mixing. Fans went wild during his 2018 EDC Las Vegas set when he brought out saxophone legend Kenny G to accompany him during “Thief”. Ookay shows no signs of slowing down. His successful 2018 Fall Tour and sold out show at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles catapult him into his first career Coachella performance set for 2019.
