Parisian electronic duo Oden & Fatzo are turning a decade of experimentation, collaboration, and dancefloor-driven creativity into their debut album, Somehow It Flies. Arriving Friday, October 16 via Defected Records, the 19-track album captures the duo’s ability to move between electronic music, house, disco, and French touch without becoming confined to any one sound. New single “Take Our Time” is out now, offering the first look into the expansive world of the forthcoming record.
For Oden & Fatzo, the album represents a significant step forward, but it also reflects the same restless curiosity that has defined their career from the beginning. After breaking through with their platinum-selling hit “Lauren,” the duo spent the years that followed building a reputation for genre-hopping productions and energetic live sets while maintaining a distinct French character.
Their relationship with Defected Records began in 2023 with “Lady Love,” a collaboration with London singer-songwriter Camden Cox that quickly became a favorite among DJs and listeners. The track has now surpassed 120 million streams, establishing an early foundation for what would become a deeper relationship with the label.
The duo subsequently showed another side of their sound with the three-track RAW EP, created alongside fellow Parisian THEOS. The release pushed further into tougher, more club-focused territory, demonstrating that the pair could move from melodic and accessible house records into darker dancefloor territory without losing their identity.
That versatility continued with “Tell Me What You Want” featuring Poppy Baskcomb, another major Defected release that has now reached 165 million global streams. Alongside their recorded output, appearances at some of the label’s biggest events — including Ibiza seasons at Ushuaïa, Pacha, and Chinois, as well as flagship festivals in Croatia and Malta — helped establish Oden & Fatzo as a fixture within the Defected family.
Their momentum only accelerated heading into 2026. Their genre-fluid productions continued receiving support from major radio stations around the world, while their touring schedule expanded across major festivals and respected clubs. At the center of that growth has been their live show, where infectious energy meets the playful, cheeky character that runs through their French electronic identity.

House grooves can sit alongside disco influences, French touch, electronic experimentation, and more club-focused material, creating a record equally suited to a packed dancefloor, a festival crowd, radio play, or the soundtrack to a night out with friends.
Even the title Somehow It Flies reflects Oden & Fatzo’s approach. Its playful, space-inspired imagery connects with the duo’s visual world while also representing their DIY roots, their journey as underdogs, and the optimism that has carried them from the Paris underground to an international audience.
