North Arizona’s genre-melding prodigy nikko returns to NIGHTMODE with his most explosive statement yet — the ‘RED RAVE’ EP, a two-track firestorm built for underground warehouse sessions and festival mainstages alike. Fusing early rave nostalgia with razor-sharp production, the 18-year-old phenom sets a new bar for next-gen dance music.
“The ‘RED RAVE’ concept is my first major stride towards the experience I am excited to introduce to my fans,” says nikko. “The goal was to mix the familiar sounds of early rave culture with modern production techniques to create a new and exciting sound for the next generation of ravers to enjoy.”
The project kicks off with “DONT PLAYY,” a no-holds-barred speed house missile armed with scorching synth leads, whip-fast drums, and a hypnotic vocal hook that latches on and doesn’t let go. It’s a turbo-charged tribute to lawless, sweat-drenched rave nights — high-energy chaos dialed to 11.
“This song, to me, is an exciting collision of all of my inspirations poured into one track,” he adds. “I knew it needed to take center stage as Track A of this project.”
On the B-side, “SIDE2SIDE” delivers a bass house detonation engineered for peak-time dancefloor madness. Detuned jazz chords and classic vocal loops swirl through crowd chatter and menacing sirens before the track explodes into a full-blown rave riot. It’s an homage to house music’s roots—remixed, reimagined, and pushed to the edge.
“‘SIDE2SIDE’ is an ode to my upbringing, drawing major inspiration from early house music,” says nikko. “I wanted to put the listener right in the middle of a wild party.”
Following breakthrough releases like the ‘DECEIVER’ EP and his ‘SEEING DOUBLE’ collab with WINK, nikko continues carving his lane at hyperspeed. He’s already racked up major co-signs from Marshmello, DJ Snake, RL Grime, Habstrakt, and Hamdi, plus an official remix for NGHTMRE and Rezz and a SoundCloud Track of the Day for his single “THORNZ.”
