Dance music’s dark orchestrator, Nikita, The Wicked, is set to release his highly anticipated six-track EP, BLINDED BY VANITY, on December 5, 2025 via Helix Records. The EP represents a bold evolution for Nikita, highlighting his signature villainous creativity and cinematic production.
“BLINDED BY VANITY is my second concept project. I like to do these EPs as different characters. Each project evolves the ‘villain’ persona. The conductor identity comes from my use of orchestral sampling. BBV reflects the past year—massive growth reshaping my perception of myself. This project paints a new wicked tale beyond the shadows,” shares Nikita, The Wicked.
The EP opens with DOOM, a film-score-inspired introduction, launching listeners into Nikita’s intense, rebellious world. LOUDER follows, delivering a lighter, nostalgic tone before the project shifts into darker, more cryptic bass textures.
The collaborative track CONTROL with Elohim fuses warm saxophone motifs with revelous bass stabs and ethereal vocals, balancing emotion and power. SUCKERS channels grunge-laced mystique, combining orchestral drama with wooden percussion and primal basslines, leaving an impression of chaos meticulously refined.
LOOK, featuring Emi Grace, the first single from the project, exemplifies Nikita’s signature orchestral chaos, transforming sweeping classical arrangements into a high-energy, bass-driven anthem. Closing the EP, SHAKE delivers a villainous soliloquy, blending cinematic tension with trap-inspired percussion and rhythmic bass pulses for a commanding finale.
Over the years, Nikita, The Wicked has shared stages with bass music heavyweights such as Zeds Dead, REZZ, Illenium, Levity, ALLEYCVT, Ivy Lab, Jauz, SLANDER, NGHTMRE, and Trivecta. His festival résumé spans premier events including Lost Lands, Project Glow, Escapade Canada, Northern Nights, GRIDLIFE, Infrasound, and Goldrush, cementing his reputation for dark, cinematic energy in high-impact live settings. Most recently, Nikita brought his villainous artistry to Escape Halloween, captivating one of California’s largest festival audiences.
