UK-born and US-based Melodic & Progressive house artist Marsh has just released his latest single, “Floodlights,” on Anjunadeep.
Designed to be best enjoyed on an open-air dancefloor with a gentle summer breeze, “Floodlights” features Marsh‘s expert blend of delicate vocals and his distinctive bassline sound, making for a truly captivating track.
“‘Floodlights‘ brings to mind images of light piercing through dark, foggy forests,” says Marsh. “I first played the track in my Kew Gardens mix, and it quickly became the most replayed moment of the set. The idea started with an ambient, fuzzy chord progression, and then I started experimenting with the iconic DX7 Solid Bass patch, thanks to Myon, and quickly found the bass riff. The vocals came next, and I was instantly drawn to the angelic, choral vibes, which gave the track a unique hook. Everything came together quickly, and it’s been a joy to include in my recent sets.”
To celebrate the release of “Floodlights,” Marsh will debut a fully filmed DJ set from the historic Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways‘ Snowdonia Star on Thursday, June 27th. This location is particularly meaningful to Marsh as his parents, Andrew and Jacqui, volunteered and worked there. The set, filmed by Marsh‘s long-time collaborator Sam, offers stunning views of the Welsh countryside and promises a cinematic experience.
Following the success of his 2023 album, “Endless,” which topped Beatport‘s Chart, Marsh has become a prominent figure in the melodic and progressive house scene. He completed a 52-date world tour, selling over 35,000 tickets, and performed sold-out shows at London‘s HERE at Outernet and New Century Hall in Manchester. He also took to the stage at EDC Las Vegas and Cercle‘s festival at the Air France Museum in Paris, performing in front of 25,000 people.
This September, Marsh will bring his hybrid show ARIA, featuring vocalists and long-time collaborators Jodie Knight and Leo Wood, to the US. The tour will include performances at renowned venues like LA‘s Fonda Theatre, Chicago‘s Concord Music Hall, and New York‘s Webster Hall.
Marsh‘s summer festival appearances will include Anjunadeep Open Air Seattle (a fully filmed live performance), Anjunadeep Explorations, Electric Forest, and Deep Tropics.
“Floodlights” by Marsh is available now on Anjunadeep.
