Myd, the beloved French producer, DJ, and Ed Banger mainstay, returns with a vibrant new single, “All That Glitters Is Not Gold”, out now via Ed Banger / Because Music. After an intense seven-day studio lock-in streamed live 24/7, during which he reconstructed two lost tracks, Myd emerges with a sun-drenched anthem that dives deep into the glossy façades of social media and modern identity.
Joined by American house revivalist Channel Tres and Argentinian trap icon Trueno, “All That Glitters Is Not Gold” is a genre-blurring celebration of summer heat, global collaboration, and effortless cool. It’s a track that began as a simple interlude — until Pedro Winter stepped in and pushed Myd to let it shine.
“Come on, this track is so strong, stop overthinking it — don’t be afraid to keep it simple,” Winter advised. The result is a track that radiates pure joy and groove.
On working with Trueno, Myd shared:
“When I wrote this track, Trueno was the first person who came to mind. He delivered his part with such effortless elegance… that’s exactly what makes his presence so powerful.”
Trueno echoed the sentiment, speaking on the deeper cultural bridge being built:
“For producers like Myd, who are well known in their country, to want to contribute to Argentine culture and create these collaborations — despite the distance — is deeply meaningful.”
As for Channel Tres, his unmistakable laid-back energy brings the track’s pulse to life, transforming it into a cross-continental celebration of rhythm, swagger, and warmth.
Myd continues to push musical boundaries. From the French Touch pop of “Song For You” to the afro-funk energy of “The Wizard”, this new track sees him experimenting with reggaeton influences — all while keeping his playful, eclectic sound intact.
The visual companion to the track is equally striking. Shot in Dubai with longtime collaborator Alice Moitié, the slideshow-style music video doubles as a vacation film — quirky, surreal, and sharply self-aware. A photo book styled like a travel diary will soon follow, blending dry wit and social commentary into a vivid portrait of glitter, illusion, and escapism.
“All That Glitters Is Not Gold” feels like the anthem for a summer spent chasing beauty in a hyper-real world. Joyful, bold, and subtly biting — it’s a track only Myd could make.
