Brooklyn native Moon Boots is a House music innovator, he loves what he does, and you can tell by the way he is grooving on stage when he performs. His exotic blend of House, Jazz, Funk, and Soul are a breath of fresh air to the electronic music scene. After the release of his debut EP, “First Landing” in 2017, Moon Boots has returned with a couple of fresh new singles “Keramas/Harpanet”.
Released on Tuesday on Anjunadeep, this Anjuna all-star is once again showing off his talent with these two outstanding gems. “Keramas” is made of field recordings of traditional Hindu singers on the Keramas Beach in Bali with exotic bells and percussion. The result is in a rich evocative sound that blends together amazingly and will have everyone on the dancefloor on their feet. “Harpanet”, has a darker element to it and sees major and minor key chimes swirling over a deep, dark bassline.
These tracks are the perfect follow up to “First Landing”, which has racked up over 30 million streams since it’s release. “First Landing” is hit after hit of melodic excellence. “I Want Your Attention” featuring Fiora has the perfect combination of beautiful lyrics, soulful singing, and deep House grooves. “Tear My Heart” featuring Lulu James is another outstanding track. It starts with booming basslines and intertwines with sensational lyrics that have the perfect House flow.
If you haven’t had a chance to check out Moon Boots live, he will be all over the place in 2019. He has events scheduled across the States and he will also be performing at Anjunadeep Presents Explorations in Albania. This event is jam-packed with Anjuna talent and will no doubt be an event to remember. I am super jelly of everyone able to make it out to this show!
Moon Boots is an amazing performer and really leaves a lasting impression on the audience. I’ve seen him several times and the last show I caught him at was in his hometown of Brooklyn. That show was exceptional, a perfect start to my New Years Eve weekend. He is also a super nice guy. When we bumped into him before the Brooklyn show, he stopped to chat a bit and took a quick pic. Do yourself a solid and make sure to check him out at an event near you!
