Montell Fish has unveiled his latest project under his masked musical alias dj gummy bear with the announcement of purgatory, a mixtape that cements the identity of his experimental moniker. First introduced in 2023, dj gummy bear serves as a creative outlet for Montell to explore abstract electronic sounds beyond his signature alternative pop.
purgatory blends ambient, electronic, and R&B influences, creating a sonic landscape that feels both introspective and expansive. Following the previously released “deserve/energy”, Montell now shares “murder”, a guitar-driven track infused with propulsive synths and rhythmic percussion, bridging the worlds of pop and dance music.
The Dream Deer Tour & Festival Dates
Alongside the mixtape, Montell Fish has announced his The Dream Deer Tour, which will see him perform across Australia and Europe this summer, with festival stops in between.
The tour kicks off May 9th in Brisbane, followed by headline shows in Australia and festival sets at Kilby Block Party in Salt Lake City and Governor’s Ball in New York. In August, Montell will continue with European festivals and headline dates in Warsaw, Vienna, and Zurich.
