Emerging from the underground with an electrifying vision, Monster Machine—an Australian DJ and producer—is making a thunderous entrance with her debut single “Rage,” out now on all platforms. The track marks the first release from her forthcoming debut EP, EXALTED, set to arrive this November.

After two years honing her skills behind the decks, Monster Machine is stepping into her own lane, blending the raw aggression of Trap with the relentless drive of Drum & Bass. With clear influence from genre-defying powerhouses like RL Grime, Nitepunk, and Knock2, she’s forging a sound that’s gritty, experimental, and unapologetically future-forward.

“I wanted to create something that punches hard but also carries intention,” says Monster Machine. “This project is about pushing boundaries and not holding anything back.”

The EP’s lead single, “Rage,” embodies that ethos in full force. A searing fusion of aggressive basslines, distorted textures, and adrenaline-soaked drops, the track wastes no time in asserting Monster Machine’s unique voice in the electronic scene.

Speaking on the track’s inspiration, Monster Machine—whose real name is Penny—shares that Billie Eilish’s global hit “Bad Guy” helped spark the initial concept:

“The idea for ‘Rage’ came about as I was driving and listening to Billie Eilish’s ‘Bad Guy’. The sample and pulsing rhythm of the pedestrian light crossing that she used in her track was a huge inspiration, and I wanted to recreate a version of that in EDM form.”

That gritty urban pulse echoes throughout “Rage,” which pulses with kinetic energy and dramatic tension, all while paving the way for what promises to be a hard-hitting EP release later this year.

With EXALTED on the horizon, Monster Machine is making it known that she’s not here to play it safe—she’s here to dominate. Her boundary-shattering approach and fresh sonic identity signal the rise of a new voice in heavy electronic music, one that demands attention.

“Rage” is streaming everywhere now. Prepare for more chaos when EXALTED drops this November.
