German multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and producer Monolink makes a powerful return with “Perfect World,” the latest single from his forthcoming third studio album, The Beauty Of It All, due out September 26, 2025 via Embassy One.
On “Perfect World,” Monolink ventures into fresh rhythmic territory, trading his signature four-on-the-floor foundation for a groove inspired by UK Garage and breakbeat. The result is both intimate and kinetic — a hypnotic fusion of shuffling percussion, warm synth layers, and Steffen’s unmistakable, contemplative vocals. The track radiates restless energy, mirroring its themes of digital distraction and emotional disconnection, while offering a spacious, melodically rich soundscape that beats with raw humanity.
Reflecting on the single, Monolink shared:
“The idea for this track started as a jam session with my friend Severin Kantereit, where we laid the foundation for the groove and chords. I wanted to create something different and break out of the 4-to-the-floor rhythm, feeling inspired by UK Garage and breakbeats. The song and lyrics came to me one morning in a café in Hamburg, watching people rushing to work and constantly seeking distraction on their phones — including myself.”
Accompanying the release is a striking official music video directed by Nicola von Leffern, who previously worked on the visuals for “Mesmerized.” The cinematic short presents a world paralyzed by screen addiction, blending absurd humor with emotional weight. From people nodding off mid-scroll to a massage therapist doom-scrolling during work, the imagery builds toward a rupture: two strangers locking eyes, sparking an eruption of collective movement and raw, unchoreographed expression — a powerful counterpoint to technological isolation.
“Perfect World” is the latest preview of The Beauty Of It All, Monolink’s most personal and adventurous project to date.
