“Avicii’s music and life story touched me deeply. In 2012, at a strange rooftop party in New York City, I heard ‘Levels’ and felt its unapologetic, aggressive energy mixed with haunting emotional depth. That moment cemented my decision to follow my dreams of becoming an artist.”
Her career truly began with their partnership on “Dear Boy”, and she recalls being on her first U.S. tour in 2014, while Avicii’s “Wake Me Up” dominated the charts.
“I remember working with his friends out of his house in LA just before his passing, feeling so honored to be in the studio of this Scandinavian legend. He changed music and changed me. Forever, I will be enchanted and inspired by angel Avicii.”
