Mild Minds Drops Final Single “DNA ∞” Before Highly Anticipated ‘GEMINI’ Album

GRAMMY®-nominated producer Mild Minds concludes the preview of his upcoming sophomore album, ‘GEMINI’, with the release of his final single, “DNA ∞”, out now ahead of the album’s official release on February 21st via ODESZA’s Foreign Family Collective. Following the success of previous singles “I NEED U”, “GEMINI”, and “TEARDROPS”, this new track finalizes the album’s theme of blending underground dance music with deep emotional exploration.

The Sound of “DNA ∞”

“DNA ∞” captures the essence of ‘GEMINI’, integrating breaks, early trance elements, and R&B samples into a unique electronic landscape. The track represents a culmination of Benjamin David’s journey into the world of turn-of-the-century club sounds, merging nostalgic dance vibes with modern emotional depth. The song’s composition moves fluidly, shifting between broken grooves before ending on a steady 4/4 rhythm, a departure from traditional vocal-based tracks.

Mild Minds shares: “This was all about the sonics for me. There isn’t a traditional vocal on this one, so the track was really about making a good dance tune and bringing together all the elements of the album into one song.”

An Artistic Evolution

As ‘GEMINI’ draws closer, anticipation continues to build for what promises to be both an artistic and personal milestone for Mild Minds. Reflecting on his journey, David opens up about the transformative experience of pursuing his own project after years of hesitation and external pressures. “The way a new venture starts from a blank slate is somewhat beautiful, all these possibilities suddenly open up,” he explains.

Radio Support & Critical Acclaim

‘GEMINI’ has already garnered significant radio support in the UK and Ireland. BBC 6 Music debuted the album with Craig Charles praising its depth, followed by multiple spots on BBC Radio 1 with Sian Eleri, Pete Tong, Nick Grimshaw, Chris Hawkins, and Don Letts. The album’s lead single, “I NEED U”, continues to receive praise, landing on Capital Chill’s playlist and getting airtime on RTÉ 2FM.

Expanding Horizons

This new chapter in Mild Minds’ career follows a highly productive period. Last year, he launched his own record label, MOODS INTL., to give emerging and established artists a platform. Alongside this, his LUV HRTS collaboration with Victor Pakpour has been well-received, with their singles “U REALLY HURT ME” and “CAN WE DO BETTER?” earning widespread support from BBC Radio 1 and Mixmag, in addition to prominent Spotify placements.

As his fanbase continues to grow, ‘GEMINI’ is set to be a defining moment in Mild Minds’ journey, solidifying his status as one of electronic music’s most innovative and emotive artists.
