Alongside the announcement, he has shared the album’s title track, “GEMINI,” offering fans a glimpse into the immersive soundscapes awaiting them.
Building on the creative risks that defined his 2020 debut album, ‘MOOD’, ‘GEMINI’ represents a confident evolution. Drawing inspiration from turn-of-the-century underground club music, the album incorporates breaks, airy pads, and chopped 2000s R&B samples layered with early trance influences and ethereal vocals. This fusion creates a unique interplay between club-focused rhythms and melancholic undertones, pushing dance music into emotionally resonant territory.
The single “GEMINI” continues the narrative started by “TEAR DROPS,” merging chopped R&B vocal loops with emotive chords and a staggered groove inspired by future garage. Its linear progression avoids repetition, delivering a hypnotic, trance-like momentum that exemplifies the album’s experimental ethos.

Thematically, ‘GEMINI’ explores contrasts—humanity set against stark digital textures, creating a sense of dystopian beauty. Reflecting on the creative process, David shared, “A sophomore album is not something you can run from, so I definitely felt the pressure of living up to something again. But I reminded myself to have fun throughout and stay true to the project’s original intentions. I’d rather fail having fun than succeed while hating the process.”
