GRAMMY Award-winning Haitian DJ and producer Michaël Brun returns with an infectious new single titled “Elevate,” out Friday, May 30. Featuring vocals from frequent collaborator Shirazee, the upbeat afro house-inspired track is a celebration of global rhythms, dancefloor energy, and cultural fusion—hallmarks of Brun’s ever-evolving sonic identity.
Born in West Africa, Shirazee brings a rich palette of influences from Ghana, the UK, South Africa, and France, and his unmistakable voice on “Elevate” injects the track with bold, anthemic power. The collaboration continues the dynamic synergy the two artists previously sparked and builds on Brun’s recent string of groundbreaking releases.
Hot off “Touchdown”—his explosive team-up with J Balvin, Bounty Killer, Beenie Man, and Tasan—and “Safe,” his emotive collaboration with John Legend and Rutshelle Guillaume, Brun is riding a wave of creative momentum that now crescendos into his biggest live show to date.
On June 28, Brun will bring his acclaimed BAYO experience to the Barclays Center in New York City, marking the first time the beloved celebration of Caribbean culture will take over an arena stage. Meaning “to give” in Haitian Creole, BAYO has become a global phenomenon, selling out editions in Montreal, Paris, Miami, and beyond. Known for high-energy performances and surprise appearances, BAYO brings together music, heritage, and community on an unprecedented scale.
Brun’s recent efforts also reflect his dedication to his Haitian roots. In celebration of Haitian Heritage Month, he livestreamed a DJ set from the historic Citadel Laferrière—now available on his YouTube channel—and recently threw the first pitch at a Miami Marlins game on Haitian Flag Day, joining popular streamer deansocool to connect with fans IRL and share stories from their shared heritage.
With “Elevate,” Michaël Brun once again proves his ability to unite cultures through sound, uplift global voices, and create moments that transcend borders.
“Elevate” is out now on all major streaming platforms.
