Blending the soft, soulful vocals and guitar of US folk artist Alexa Sunshine Rose with his signature electronic sound—familiar from hits like ‘Hanging Tree’ and ‘Got The Fire’—Bibi delivers a powerful, uplifting anthem about life, healing, and hope.
In mid-2023, Bibi was diagnosed with CNS lymphoma, a rare cancer affecting the brain and spine, which forced him to cancel his global shows. By December, he announced the life-changing news: he was officially in remission.
The comeback was swift and emotional. Bibi made a surprise return at DC-10 in Ibiza, later headlining massive stages at Coachella and Creamfields. In July 2024, he realized a dream born during his hospital stay by hosting the monumental ‘One Life’ show at Finsbury Park, performing for 45,000 fans and raising over £124,000 for cancer research. The ‘One Life’ journey has since expanded to cities across Europe.
“I dreamed of that show while in the hospital,” Bibi shared. “Seeing it happen was one of the most beautiful moments of my life — now being able to give back with this music release is another milestone in my healing process.”
In a powerful next step, a portion of the proceeds from ‘Sungazing (Electronic Mix)’ will directly support the newly launched Michael Bibi One Life Foundation. Inspired by the care and second chance he received during treatment, the foundation aims to support cancer patients by transforming hospital environments through music, art, therapeutic spaces, and creative experiences, offering hope and healing through every stage of the journey.
Now in 2025, Michael Bibi continues to cement his comeback with major gigs from Miami to Ibiza, and will headline the highly anticipated ‘One Life London’ show on July 5th.
