Following the release of her club-ready single “Backseat Baby” featuring Uffie, DJ, producer, and culture tastemaker Mia Moretti is giving the track a fresh dancefloor treatment with a new remix from house music pioneer Radio Slave. Out today, August 7, via Spaghetti Moretti Records, the “Backseat Baby (Radio Slave Remix)” puts a deeper, more driving spin on the original ahead of Moretti’s forthcoming GET READY! EP, arriving August 21.
The remix adds another dimension to a track already built for late nights, combining Uffie’s sultry vocal hooks with Moretti’s disco-inflected production and Radio Slave’s unmistakable club sensibility. The result is a hypnotic, groove-heavy rework designed for extended dancefloors and peak-time sets.
“I was really intrigued to receive a request from Mia,” shares Radio Slave. “I played ‘My House’ everywhere last summer and ‘Backseat Baby’ is such a fun track and I got to remix a song featuring Uffie…good times. I’ve already been road testing this everywhere from Tomorrowland to the Dirty Bird Camp Out.”
The remix follows an original that channels the hazy, uninhibited energy of a girls’ night out. “Backseat Baby” rides on a thick disco loop and punchy bassline, while Uffie delivers playful, provocative vocals that give the track its instantly recognizable personality. It is a tongue-in-cheek throwback with a modern club edge, built to soundtrack everything from the journey to the dancefloor to the hours that follow.
Moretti and Uffie first brought the track to life in front of a live audience during Mia Moretti’s packed SUMMERTRAMP performance at OUTLOUD Music Festival in West Hollywood during Pride in June. Now, with Radio Slave’s remix already road-tested at major events, “Backseat Baby” continues to expand its reach across the global dance music circuit.
The release also arrives as Mia Moretti prepares for a major run of upcoming projects and appearances. The original “Backseat Baby,” alongside her previous single “GET READY!”, will feature on the forthcoming GET READY! EP, due August 21 via Spaghetti Moretti Records. Moretti will celebrate the new music with a New York City performance at Pacha on August 22.
Beyond her own releases, Moretti continues to build an expansive presence across music, nightlife, and culture through her monthly SiriusXM show Chef’s Kiss on Diplo’s Revolution (Ch. 53), which airs on the first Saturday of each month. This summer, the series heads to Ibiza alongside Moretti’s newly announced residency at Nocturna, the island’s newest boutique nightclub.
The remaining Chef’s Kiss dates are August 15, August 29, and September 5, with Moretti welcoming a rotating cast of guests including Abel, Alex Kahan, Barbara Boeing, Heidi Lawden, Hen Yanni, Myd, Radio Slave, Scarlett O’Malley, and Toy Tonics Crew featuring Kapote and Alot.
