MESTIZA step boldly into 2026 with the release of their new single ‘Que Calor, Que Calor’, arriving 20th February as the latest preview of their forthcoming second album Spanish Chica, due digitally and on vinyl 10th April.

A slow-burning, percussive heater, ‘Que Calor, Que Calor’ captures the duo’s unmistakable signature — Latin grooves woven through commanding percussion and a brooding, magnetic atmosphere built for late-night dancefloors.

True to their fusion of tradition and electronic avant-garde, the track threads hypnotic rhythm with emotional intensity. Flamenco-rooted textures rise through contemporary Afro house and melodic techno frameworks, while handclaps and rolling drums drive a pulse that feels both ancestral and futuristic. The result is immersive and ritualistic — a record simmering with tension and release, designed to move both body and spirit.

The single lands amid a landmark year for the Spanish duo. This summer, MESTIZA made history as the first female artists to lead a full-season residency in the main room of Hï Ibiza, currently ranked the world’s number one club. Taking over Sundays in the iconic Theatre space, they will helm a 19-date residency from 31st May to 4th October — marking the first time a female headline act has held a summer-long residency in the venue’s main room. A defining cultural milestone for the island, it solidifies their place at the forefront of global electronic music.

The Ibiza announcement coincides with another historic achievement: in April, MESTIZA will perform at Coachella, becoming the only Spanish female artists represented at the festival this year. Their debut at the Californian institution underscores the project’s accelerating international reach and cultural impact.

After a decade as solo artists, the pair united in 2021 to form MESTIZA, rapidly forging a sonic identity that bridges flamenco heritage with the hypnotic drive of electronic production. Their sessions unfold as sensory journeys where Afro house, melodic techno, and Latin rhythms collide with flamenco’s emotional charge — transforming the dancefloor into a space of collective ritual and contemporary expression.

Their debut album ‘Quëreles’, released in December 2023, debuted at number one in Spain in its first week, establishing the duo as one of electronic music’s most compelling forces. Blending national and international collaborations, it laid the foundation for a broader artistic universe where music, fashion, symbolism, and visual storytelling coexist. Feminine strength, ancestral codes, and immersive stage design remain central to their identity — each performance conceived as a transformative experience beyond the traditional club format.

With Spanish Chica on the horizon and a wave of global festival appearances and cultural milestones unfolding across 2026, MESTIZA continue to expand their vision on an unprecedented scale. The temperature is rising — and ‘Que Calor, Que Calor’ marks the beginning of a defining new chapter.
