Matroda tears through genre boundaries with the release of ‘Variations In Production Vol. 1’, a blistering four-track EP that reimagines his signature house anthems as high-octane drum and bass weapons. Out June 12 via Insomniac Records, the project marks a daring sonic pivot that spotlights the Croatian producer’s fearless creativity and club-tested instincts.

After years of circulating in his electrifying sets—including a massive moment on the kineticFIELD mainstage at EDC Las Vegas—these long-awaited VIP remixes are finally seeing the light of day. The EP kicks off with a ferocious rework of his breakout hit “Forget It,” transforming the tech house favorite into a firestorm of blistering synths, frenetic breaks, and eerie chopped vocals. With nearly 74 million streams and support from titans like Tiësto, Diplo, Martin Garrix, and David Guetta, the original track’s legacy now accelerates into overdrive.

Next up is a drum and bass flip of “4U,” a tech house gem originally crafted with Martin Ikin and vocalist Sian-Lee. The new version keeps the soul intact but injects it with breathless energy and thunderous low-end that recasts Sian-Lee’s vocals in a high-stakes, rave-ready setting.

The retro-tinged “Saturday Love” gets an adrenaline-charged facelift, maintaining its nostalgic soul while riding on a wave of crisp, modern breaks. Closing the EP is the rework of “Gimme Some Keys,” where Matroda trades piano house swagger for tightly wound rave intensity, anchoring the release with pure club momentum.

Since exploding onto the scene with his remix of SNBRN’s “California” alongside Chris Lake, Matroda has built a genre-fluid empire under the banner of his distinct ‘matrodasound.’ Blending house, disco, bass, rock, and now drum and bass, his tracks have become essential weapons in DJ sets across the globe, while his own hybrid performances continue to bend expectations.

With a global tour lined up—including appearances at Day Trip Festival, Tomorrowland, Space Miami, and the massive Waxtroda Block Party with Wax MotifMatroda is showing no signs of slowing down. ‘Variations In Production Vol. 1’ is more than just a remix EP—it’s a statement of evolution, velocity, and next-level sound design.

‘Variations In Production Vol. 1’ is available now on all streaming platforms via Insomniac Records.
