Mat Zo makes his first Anjunabeats appearance of 2025 with “Wounded”, a sweeping eight-minute reimagining of Fleet Foxes’ 2020 track “Can I Believe.” Known for his genre-defying production and technical mastery, the British producer transforms the indie-folk original into a progressive electronic odyssey that blends intricate sound design, evolving textures, and his unmistakable melodic touch.
A cornerstone of the Anjunabeats roster, Mat has built a celebrated discography with tracks like “Easy” (with Porter Robinson), “Rebound” (with ARTY), “The Sky”, and “Superman.” His 2013 debut album Damage Control earned a GRAMMY nomination, topped the Billboard Heatseekers chart, and featured the breakout hit “Easy”, which became a BBC Radio 1 A-List staple and received an Essential Mix of the Year nod.
More recently, his 2020 album Illusion of Depth delivered fan favorites “The Next Chapter”, “Problems”, and “Colours” — the latter earning a spot on the Forza Horizon 5 soundtrack and helping push the album past 25 million streams. In 2024, Mat released the ZOCASE EP, a trio of long-form, boundary-pushing tracks merging progressive house, breakbeat, and techno.
With “Wounded”, Mat once again proves his ability to reinterpret and elevate source material into something both emotionally resonant and dancefloor-ready, reaffirming his position as one of electronic music’s most inventive voices.
