All Day I Dream kicks off 2026 with The Universe, a four-track EP from Barcelona-based producer and DJ Makebo, available now.
Woven with textured sound design and warped synthwork, The Universe guides listeners through a carefully constructed 32-minute journey defined by contrast and progression. The title track lays the groundwork with crunchy low-end and hypnotic percussion, drawing listeners inward. “Galaxy” introduces buoyant rhythms that lift the atmosphere, while “Save Me” deepens the mood with gritty basslines and mystical vocals, adding emotional resonance without disrupting flow. Closing with “Birth Of A New Sun,” Makebo delivers a club-driven finale that encapsulates the EP’s expansive, forward-moving themes.
Since launching the project in 2018, Makebo has released music on Anjunadeep, Lost Miracle, and Shanti Radio, and co-launched the Rubicunda imprint with Amonita. He has earned support from artists including Lee Burridge, Sébastien Léger, Roy Rosenfeld, Tim Green, and Khen. Makebo first appeared on All Day I Dream’s A Winter Sampler in 2019, returning for A Winter Sampler II and Summer Sampler, before releasing his debut EP Skyline on the label in 2021. The Universe represents his latest contribution to All Day I Dream, continuing to expand his ethereal and emotive sonic palette.
