Music has the power to bring people together, but at M3F Fest, it does even more—it gives back. As the country’s largest 100% nonprofit music festival, M3F isn’t just about great performances and unforgettable experiences; it’s about making a tangible difference. If you’re looking for an opportunity to dance and connect with the local Phoenix, AZ community, then make sure you save the date for March 7th and 8th!
Each year, the festival directs its proceeds to carefully chosen nonprofit organizations, supporting a range of causes that uplift communities and create lasting change. This year, three standout beneficiaries truly highlight the spirit of giving and community connection that is at the heart of M3F, each using their funding to drive meaningful impact. Let’s take a closer look at the organizations making a difference through the festival’s generosity.

Established in 1991, McDowell Sonoran Conservancy, is dedicated to preserving and protecting Scottsdale’s McDowell Sonoran Preserve, one of the largest urban preserves in the country. Through a combination of land stewardship, scientific research, and community education, the conservancy ensures this stunning desert landscape remains accessible and thriving for future generations. Their team of dedicated stewards maintains trails, restores habitats, and conducts vital research on the fragile Sonoran Desert ecosystem. With M3F’s support, the conservancy can continue its mission of conservation while fostering a deeper connection between people and the natural world.

For many kids, having a strong mentor can make all the difference. MentorKids USA, an M3F Fest beneficiary, provides life-changing mentorship programs for youth in under-resourced communities, helping them build confidence, leadership skills, and a foundation for success. Through one-on-one and group mentorship, after-school programs, and faith-based guidance, MentorKids USA equips young people with the tools they need to thrive—academically, emotionally, and socially. With M3F’s support, the organization can continue empowering the next generation, ensuring every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

This nonprofit provides free grief support programs for children and families navigating the loss of a loved one, offering a compassionate space to heal. Through peer support groups, family-centered activities, and community outreach, Billy’s Place helps those in mourning find comfort, resilience, and connection. With the support of M3F, the organization can continue expanding its reach, ensuring that no child has to face grief alone.
