Look Out 2020, This is the Year of Nox Vahn!

by The Freaks - Staff

Many might not be familiar with the name Nox Vahn but by the end of the year, you will be. Nox Vahn isn’t new to the scene, he has been DJing and producing Electronic Music since 2015. You may know him as Fairchild, the alas he has been using since starting his music career. After changing his persona early last year he’s been on the fast-track and there is no turning back.

Nox Vahn has always been making music, in fact, he is a classically trained musician. When he first burst onto the scene, he received major support from some of the biggest artists in the business such as Kaskade, Above & Beyond, Paul Oakenfold, and Pete Tong. It wasn’t long after his first release, ‘I Just Want You’ on Kasakade’s label Arkade in 2014 that he began to get major attention.

He has his own style about him, his own technique which makes listening to his sets so exciting. He released several singles and mixes over the years and it was in 2018 when things really started to pick up. He soon caught the ear of the label reps at Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep. He went on to produce several tracks for the label and toured with some of their major artists. He opened for Above & Beyond at Red Rocks for their Common Ground Tour in 2018. He toured with Lane 8 and he played several stops on the Anjunadeep: Open Air series during the same year.

Early in 2019, is when he made the tough decision to change his alias from Fairchild to Nox Vahn.

“I’m still making whatever music I would have made as Fairchild. It’s still me in the studio, only now, I have a new name and brand I can call my own. It’s something I 100% believe in and can feel confident operating in for years to come.”

The Summer of 2019 saw another milestone, he was invited to play the Group Therapy Weekender at the Gorge along with his friend and frequent collaborator Marsh. This venue and event are special in the eyes of Anjuna fans everywhere and they brought the heat to their Sunday afternoon performance.

The close of the year brought excitement and opportunity for Nox Vahn. He was chosen to spin at one of the hottest NYE events, the Above & Beyond New Year’s Eve show in New York City. He made a lasting impression on everyone at this show. Not only was his performance outstanding but along with Marsh, they made a special appearance at the Anjunafamily NYC after-party which gave all the Anjuna fans a night to remember!

We are only a month in the new year and Nox Vahn is already lining up to have a stellar 2020. You can catch him on tour with Spencer Brown at a few select cities. He is on the line up for the sold-out Anjunadeep Explorations Festival which will no doubt be an outstanding event. He is also steadily churning out new releases, first up is his ‘Sleep Paralysis EP with Enamour which is out everywhere this week.

Nox Vahn is on the fast track to being a household name and this year will no doubt be the busiest for the rising star. Make sure to catch him on tour at a city near you and be on the lookout for his fresh new releases.
