Loco Dice makes his highly anticipated return with “Hold Up (You Feel That),” his first major release since 2025’s acclaimed album Purple Jam. Released via Universal Music, the new single sees the veteran DJ and producer deliver another club-focused anthem that reinforces his reputation as one of electronic music’s most respected innovators.

Built for peak-time dancefloors, “Hold Up (You Feel That)” wastes no time establishing its groove. Driven by dense, intricately programmed percussion and an infectious spoken-word vocal performance from Alaina Arnez, the track favors relentless rhythmic momentum over traditional melodic breakdowns. The result is a hypnotic, high-energy record designed for powerful sound systems and extended DJ sets, steadily building tension through its precision-crafted percussion and infectious groove.

The release marks another milestone in a career that has continually evolved while remaining grounded in Loco Dice’s unique musical identity.

Born and raised in Germany to a family with Tunisian roots, Loco Dice first established himself within the hip-hop scene during the early 1990s. Before becoming one of electronic music’s defining figures, he toured internationally as a rapper, performing both as a solo artist and alongside legends including Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube. That background continues to shape his productions today, giving his house and techno releases a distinctive rhythmic sensibility that sets them apart.

After transitioning into electronic music at the turn of the millennium, Loco Dice quickly became a global force. His breakout single “Phat Dope Shit” introduced his unmistakable sound in 2002, followed by a string of acclaimed releases including his debut album 7 Dunham Place on his own Desolat imprint, Underground Sound Suicide, Love Letters, and most recently, Purple Jam.

Throughout his career, Loco Dice has collaborated with an impressive range of artists spanning multiple genres, including Carl Cox, Skrillex, Fireboy DML, Giggs, Just Blaze, Neneh Cherry, Gué, and Haftbefehl. His extensive remix catalog includes work for artists such as Moby, Disclosure, Black Coffee, and Basement Jaxx, further highlighting his versatility as both a producer and remixer.

Beyond the studio, Loco Dice remains one of dance music’s most sought-after performers. His career has included appearances at renowned events including Time Warp, Sunwaves, and Coachella, alongside legendary Ibiza residencies at Circoloco at DC-10, Amnesia, and Space Miami.

His influence also extends beyond music. In 2007, he launched the influential Desolat label, helping showcase artists including Dubfire, Moritz von Oswald, Martin Buttrich, DJ Sneak, and Yaya. He later expanded his label portfolio with En Couleur and SB Recordings while pursuing creative ventures in gaming, television, fashion, and design through collaborations with Daily Paper, New Era, and his own clothing brand, Seran Bendecidos.

To support the new release, Loco Dice is set for a busy international touring schedule with appearances across Europe and North America. Upcoming performances include Frankfurt, Sardinia, Jesolo, Dreambeach Festival in Spain, Ibiza, New York City, Dallas, Lisbon, and Milan, with special performances alongside FISHER, Mau P, and Carl Cox.

With “Hold Up (You Feel That)”, Loco Dice once again demonstrates why he has remained at the forefront of global electronic music for more than two decades. The single captures everything that has defined his career—precision production, irresistible groove, and an unwavering commitment to creating music built for the dancefloor.
