After a successful inaugural Wakaan Festival, Liquid Stranger got back in the studio and is now headed on the road in 2020. Earlier this week Liquid Stranger announced an EP and tour to come at the beginning of the new year. The Ascension Tour will feature some of our Wakaan Records featured favorites Dirt Monkey, Shlump, LUZCID, Hydraulix, Sully, and INZO.
If one EP, a couple of singles, and a music festival in a year weren’t impressive enough, this is the second body of work we’ve seen from Liquid Stranger this year. At the beginning of 2019, the Bass music mogul put out a stacked 30 track album. “INFINITY” featured a talented cast of collaborators such as Chee, CloZee, Dion Timmer, Leah Culver, KJ Sawka, among many more.
Last month I wrote a piece about Martin’s evolution through sound that led him to be Liquid Stranger. Every step of the way was innovative and new yet always seemed like a natural next step. For this reason, I already plan to catch a show or two on this tour. Liquid Stranger’s ability as an artist to continuously reinvent his sound while staying true to himself always leaves me wanting more. If you also feel like you can’t get enough, check out his tour dates below and catch the Ascension Tour in a city near you.
