Lauren Mia, a multi-disciplinary musician and producer, makes her debut on Armada Electronic Elements with the captivating single “Halcyon”, set for release on November 29. Drawing inspiration from Berlin’s club culture and the resurgence of 90s rave aesthetics, the track honors electronic music’s roots while presenting a forward-thinking, modern interpretation.
The Story Behind “Halcyon”
Emerging from Lauren’s time in Berlin earlier this year, “Halcyon” reflects the raw synthesis and stripped-back compositions that defined 90s electronic music.
“During that era, raw synthesis and straightforward compositions emphasized the journey and experience of sound,” shares Lauren. “Hearing these old-school trends resurface and resonate with younger generations inspired me to add my perspective to the revival. As a female electronic music producer, I aim to celebrate and reimagine the timeless spirit of that vibrant musical landscape.”
The single also serves as a preview of Lauren Mia’s forthcoming record label, Halcyon, slated to launch in early 2025.
