The new version arrives ahead of Frankie (ON THE DANCEFLOOR), an expanded edition of the EP due later this summer that will also feature “Sea of Tragedy (ON THE DANCEFLOOR).”
While the original “Daughter of Demeter” was an explosive release of rage and heartbreak, this dancefloor version is quieter—but no less powerful. “This remix is what happens when that fire simmers into something slower, sharper, and slyer,” Pieri explains. “The fury isn’t gone. There’s a defiance in turning pain into pleasure, and that’s what this version does: it lounges in heartbreak with style. It’s rage on vacation.”

Her fierce, unflinching lyrics are delivered over a dark, pulsing beat, proving that empowerment doesn’t always have to shout — sometimes, it sways. “It made me rethink how we process and present emotion, especially feminine emotion,” she adds. “Sometimes healing looks like dancing. Sometimes grief shows up in a slow sway.”
