Fresh off a historic performance at Tomorrowland 2025, legendary Dutch DJ Laidback Luke is reviving his iconic superhero-themed party series, SUPER YOU&ME, with a massive Comic-Con weekend takeover on Friday, July 25 at Parq Nightclub in San Diego.
This electrifying return follows what’s now hailed as the biggest B2B set in Tomorrowland history. Under the SUPER YOU&ME banner, Laidback Luke joined forces with a powerhouse cast of artists, including Bassjackers, Goodboys, Sander van Doorn, Dannic, Firebeatz, Yves V, Wiwek, Abel The Kid, Mike Cervello, Mimi x Fy, Mark Roma, James Carter, Yamo, Jared, and Ocsav. Together, they delivered a non-stop thrill ride of superhero energy that captivated an international audience and reintroduced the beloved brand to a new generation of dance music fans.
Launched in 2008 at Paradiso in Amsterdam, SUPER YOU&ME was born from Luke’s lifelong passion for comic books and his desire to channel the invincible feeling he gets while DJing. The concept quickly evolved into a global sensation, celebrated for its high-energy sets, elaborate superhero costumes, and theatrical stage presence. A true comic culture aficionado, Laidback Luke even collaborated with the late Stan Lee to design custom superhero suits and once hosted a fan-led superhero costume competition. “I wanted to combine feeling like a superhero and DJing,” says Luke. “Every Tomorrowland, I’d bring a new custom suit. It all came from wanting to be larger than life on stage—and to share that energy with the crowd. Hence: Super YOU, and me.”
Beyond its superhero spectacle, SUPER YOU&ME has long served as a launchpad for future stars. In fact, the brand’s 2009 Miami Music Week event hosted the first-ever show by Avicii. Over the years, Luke continued to showcase rising talent including Tchami, DJ Snake, Carnage, The Chainsmokers, and Blasterjaxx, hosting editions across major events like EDC, Creamfields, and Governors Island. “It’s about the energy,” Luke says, “but also about lifting others up and giving the next generation a proper stage.”
Now, with buzz still high from Tomorrowland, Laidback Luke is bringing the SUPER YOU&ME experience to San Diego for a Comic-Con weekend celebration unlike any other. The July 25 takeover at Parq Nightclub promises a night of heroic proportions, blending high-octane dance music with the creative spirit of cosplay culture. Fans are encouraged to dress as their favorite superheroes—or invent new ones—as they step into a night of dancefloor escapism and comic book fantasy.
SUPER YOU&ME is also slated to touch down at Tomorrowland Brazil, continuing its worldwide comeback tour.
