After months of anticipation and countless IDs circulating in the sets of dance music’s elite, KÖLSCH and CamelPhat are set to officially unveil their monumental collaboration “Waste My Time” on May 30 via KÖLSCH’s own label IPSO. First teased during the pair’s electrifying back-to-back set at Pacha Ibiza last summer, the track has since become a sought-after fan favorite—an undeniable anthem pulsing through clubs and festivals around the globe.
“Waste My Time” arrives with a nostalgic, AI-generated visual set in a lovingly recreated version of Pacha Ibiza circa the 1970s. Drawing from vintage photos and archival footage, the video reimagines KÖLSCH and CamelPhat as fixtures in the dawn of Ibiza’s club culture, seamlessly fusing past and present.
Musically, the track is a masterclass in melodic tension and release—layering emotive synth lines, hypnotic drum patterns, and an atmosphere drenched in both euphoria and longing. It’s a natural meeting point for KÖLSCH’s cinematic depth and CamelPhat’s anthemic dancefloor sensibilities, showcasing the creative synergy that makes this collaboration so potent.
Beyond its standalone strength, “Waste My Time” also serves as the lead single from KÖLSCH’s forthcoming album KINEMA, due out in October. The album represents a full-circle moment for the acclaimed producer, as he returns to his roots in live performance with a deeply personal project. Drawing on the Greek origin of the word “kinema”—meaning movement—the album offers reimagined interpretations of his most iconic tracks, forming a bridge between nostalgia and reinvention.
