Mexico-born, LA-based producer KinAhau is making waves with his label debut on Factory 93 Records, delivering a potent two-track release, ‘Los Angeles Freestyle’. Enlisting the talents of emerging house artist Cole Terrazas on the lead cut, the release channels the raw, improvisational spirit of a jam session into something hypnotic, tactile, and unmistakably human.

The title track, “Los Angeles Freestyle,” pairs KinAhau with Cole Terrazas, a rising US producer whose debut release caught the attention of London groove specialist SOSA. The track moves with deep, rhythmic patterns that underpin a dazed-out arrangement, weaving layers of muted vocal fragments, meowing synth flourishes, droning LFO swells, viscous acid lines, and tight circular drum loops. The result is a modern psychedelic house experience that pulses with both energy and introspection.

On the flip side, KinAhau steps into a more restrained space with “Hate to Hurt u, but I Hurt Too.” Stripped-down deep house production, soft shimmer synths, detuned chords, and bubbling basslines create a post-party reflection—intimate, introspective, and emotionally expansive, showcasing the depth of his production skills.

“We had a lot of inspiration,” KinAhau shares. “We pulled something out of our bag and even if people don’t understand it the way we do, we had to bring that back. We’re not expecting anything from anyone—no one needs to love us—we just want to see someone move. Have you ever gone system overload? That’s what she did to us… We push the gas. We’re not your average Joe.”

Born in Cancún and rooted in Mayan heritage, KinAhau has quickly become a distinctive voice in the global house scene. His meteoric rise includes handing Michael Bibi a USB of unreleased tracks that then spread across festival stages worldwide. He has performed at prestigious venues such as DC-10, Fabric London, Space Miami, and Mayan Warrior in both Istanbul and Mexico, sharing stages with Luciano, Dennis Cruz, Damian Lazarus, and DJ Tennis. Radio support has come from tastemakers including Pete Tong, Sarah Story, and Danny Howard on BBC Radio 1.

Recent collaborations with Beltran (BR), Kohmi, and a remix for Airrica have positioned KinAhau for his first nationwide tour, including stops at Factory Basel, Club Space Miami, Decadence NYE, and Stereo Montreal. Between shows, he will host a secret release pop-up in DTLA, bringing his music directly to fans in Los Angeles.

‘Los Angeles Freestyle’ marks a remarkable debut for KinAhau on Factory 93 Records, highlighting a producer who treats music as ritual and mind-expanding exploration, beyond purely club-centric output.

KinAhau’s new two-tracker ‘Los Angeles Freestyle’ is available on all platforms via Factory 93 Records.
