Kaskade returns to OM Records with the uplifting new single “Freedom,” a bright and nostalgic deep house track that captures the spirit of late-night introspection and dancefloor euphoria. Featuring dreamy vocals from EZI, the five-minute anthem blends steady rhythms, shimmering synths, and classic vocal chops reminiscent of 2010s deep house and EDM.

Built around a sense of motion and emotional release, “Freedom” evokes the feeling of driving alone through the night with nothing but music and open road ahead. EZI’s atmospheric vocals glide across Kaskade’s polished production, creating a cinematic mood that balances warmth, nostalgia, and energy.

The track also serves as the opening single from OM RECORDS – 30 YEARS, an upcoming compilation celebrating the iconic label’s three-decade legacy, set for release on May 8, 2026. Lyrics like “I wanna walk on the edge, feel the sun on my skin when it rises” and “this town is asleep, I’m awake, I bend to the wind when it changes” help establish the reflective tone of the anniversary project.

Reflecting on the release, Kaskade shared:
OM Records was the first label that believed in what I was doing. Thirty years later they’re still doing it right. I’m honored to celebrate this milestone with them.”

The compilation already features a range of singles highlighting the label’s deep house roots and legacy artists. Previous releases include “Summer Haze” from Samantha James and Late Night Alumni (along with the B-side “Closer”), “Stay On My Mind” from Mark Farina, Homero Espinosa, and Dani Siciliano, “Do It Right” from Groove Armada, “The Sunshine” from Colette, Richard Earnshaw, and Kenny Summit, and “Wind Trades” from J Boogie’s Dubtronic Science and Carlos Araiza.

Kaskade’s relationship with OM Records dates back to the early days of his career, with standout releases including “It’s You, It’s Me,” “Gonna Make It,” and “What I Say,” as well as the Billboard-charting singles “Steppin’ Out” and “Everything.” His early albums It’s You, It’s Me and In the Moment, alongside DJ mixes like Sounds of OM and San Francisco Sessions, helped solidify both his career and the label’s reputation as a key force in American dance music.

Founded in San Francisco, OM Records stands as one of the longest-running dance music labels in the United States. With more than 800 releases over three decades, the imprint has navigated dramatic shifts in the music industry—from the Napster era and the rise of digital downloads to the streaming age—while continuing to champion innovative house and electronic music.

With OM RECORDS – 30 YEARS, the label celebrates not only its history but its lasting influence, showcasing artists and sounds that helped shape the evolution of modern dance music. “Freedom” sets the tone for the project, reconnecting Kaskade with the label that first helped launch his career while honoring the enduring legacy of OM Records.
