Kaskade Announces ‘undux,’ His Most Personal Album to Date

Eight-time GRAMMY®-nominated producer, DJ, and electronic music pioneer Kaskade returns with undux, his long-awaited studio album arriving December 4 via Arkade x Monstercat. Marking one of the most introspective and creatively expansive eras of his career, the project brings him back to the narrative-driven storytelling that defined his earliest work—shaped through emotional honesty, personal upheaval, and a renewed sense of artistic purpose.

After years of releasing singles geared toward the streaming landscape, undux represents a decisive shift back into full-length album craft. For Kaskade, the process was a reconnection to the format he has always cherished:

“I have always enjoyed the process of making an album. Set aside some time, get together with some friends and make music. It always felt like telling a story with chapters and verse… Less emphasis on the crescendo but really trying to convey an entire mood or idea.”

The journey toward undux came with several restarts—sessions that lacked authenticity and stretches where personal challenges made creating difficult. Choosing patience over pressure, he stepped back until the music returned naturally. This past summer, once he allowed himself to fully sit with his emotions, the album finally began to crystallize. The result is a body of work rooted in vulnerability, hope, and the quiet truths that surface when feeling leads the way.

The era unfolded piece by piece. On October 16, Kaskade introduced the first singles, the euphoric “DNCR” and reflective “Imprint,” establishing themes of rediscovery, surrender, and the imprints left by memory. On November 13, he expanded the emotional palette with “I Can’t Make You Love Me” and its b-side “Started Over”—a tender pairing exploring heartbreak, perspective, and the fragile optimism of beginning again. Together, these tracks map out the emotional landscape that undux explores fully: the tension between holding on and letting go, between confusion and clarity.

At the heart of the album is “Obvious,” the project’s focus track and its emotional centerpiece. Featuring Kaskade’s own vocals, the song blends dance-floor rhythm with introspection, marking one of the most vulnerable recordings of his career.

“Undux has always been about connection through subtraction. From the string of shows I did to the full length album, I’ve tried to strip everything to its base layer and understand the beauty of walking through feelings and experiences without getting lost in the reverberations. Undux is a starting point and like with most things in life, it’s not obvious what that start will lead to but I’m excited to share that journey with my listeners.”

Though Kaskade’s legacy includes some of dance music’s most defining moments—from It’s You, It’s Me and Atmosphere to landmark performances at Coachella, Formula 1, and the Super Bowlundux finds him turning inward. Shaped through years of searching and rebuilding, the album bridges the timeless emotion of his signature melodic style with the energy of today’s electronic landscape.

With undux, Kaskade opens a reflective new chapter—one grounded in connection, memory, renewal, and the power of storytelling through sound.
